Introductory Evenings

Introductory evenings will run from 10th April until mid August on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Other evenings may be possible depending upon Instructor availability.    

Suitable for Scouts/Explorers/Network, but older Cubs can also participate. Sessions start at 7:00pm and finish at 9:00pm, although the boats may have to be off the water a little earlier when the days are short. 

Introductory evenings are designed to give a group of Scouts an initial taste of sailing, although many come back for further enjoyment. 

They are principally held using Bahia dinghies and by the end of the session everyone has generally had a go at both helming and crewing. 

Participants will be expected to help with both launching and de-rigging craft before and following the session. 

Cost £60/session.  Maximum 12 persons/session
